Who we are

This website is operated by Maroon Horizon Ltd, a company registered in Ireland, the organiser of Night Horizon Festival (“we”, “us”). We are the controller of the personal data described below.

For any privacy question or request, please use the contact form and choose “General enquiry”.

Visiting this website

When you open the website, our hosting provider automatically processes technical data such as your IP address, date and time, the page requested and your browser type. This is necessary to deliver the website and keep it secure (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Server logs are kept only for a short period.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) to understand how visitors use the website, for example which pages are viewed, where visitors come from and whether the ticket buttons are used. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies. GA4 does not log or store full IP addresses. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA, which is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Tickets via Eventbrite

Tickets are sold through Eventbrite. When you open the ticket window, Eventbrite’s checkout is loaded from Eventbrite’s servers and your purchase data (such as name, email and payment details) is processed by Eventbrite under its own terms. We receive the order information needed to run the festival and admit you. See the Eventbrite Privacy Policy.

Contact form

If you send us a message, we process your name, email address, organisation (optional), the chosen category and your message to reply to your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). The message is delivered to our team by email and kept only as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any follow-up.

Spam protection: Cloudflare Turnstile

To protect the contact form from spam and abuse, we use Cloudflare Turnstile, provided by Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). Turnstile is loaded only when you reach the contact form. It checks, without puzzles, whether the form is being used by a person, and processes technical information about your browser and device for this purpose (legitimate interest in preventing spam, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Video, map and fonts

• YouTube video: embedded in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). YouTube (Google) receives data when the player loads and when you play the video. Google Privacy Policy.
• Google Maps: the venue map is loaded from Google, which receives your IP address and may set cookies. Google Privacy Policy.
• Google Fonts: fonts are loaded from Google’s servers, which receive your IP address.

Links to partner websites

The website links to partner services such as accommodation booking (zrce.com) and flight search (Expedia). Once you follow such a link, the privacy policy of that website applies. Some partner links are affiliate links, which means the partner can recognise that you came from our website.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability and, where processing is based on consent, to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise your rights, please use the contact form.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in Ireland the Data Protection Commission.
